Accomplishments

During Ed's Massey's tenure in the state legislature, he had the privilege of sponsoring 21 pieces of legislation that were signed into law, voted to reduce the state individual income tax, and supported record funding for education.

The measure created a new tier for public educator pensions. The new tier helped stop the bleeding of the pension deficit. It is fully funded along with trigger mechanisms to prohibit the new tier from adding to the existing deficit. This will save Kentucky taxpayers millions of dollars and allow the commonwealth to reduce the current pension deficit.
