Pro-Life
Ed believes that life is a gift from God and that we all should believe in the sanctity of human life. He believes that we were created by God and for God. With God as our creator, we must seek guidance in those rare circumstances and continue to protect life whenever possible. His voting record confirms his stance on this issue.
Pro-Family
Ed believes family is the core to the health of community at the local, state, and national levels. The decline of American families has had an impact on the youth of America, resulting in higher crime rates, poverty, and chaos within the community. He believes we must support families as children need their parents.
Pro-Education
As a lifelong learner and educator, Ed believes that education is a civil right. He believes that education is a way to overcome poverty, create jobs, and provide for ones self and family. Education is constitutionally protected in Kentucky. With education being such an important issue, he believes that we must value it and provide for those who work in our schools by paying them proper wages and benefits. We must also seek to engage parents who do have a paramount of rights when it comes to the education of their children. Ed believes that no matter the type of educational provider; public, private, or charter, we must support our schools so that every child in Kentucky is career, college, or life ready.
Pro-Gun
Ed strongly believes in the 2nd Amendment. He is a gun owner and believes in a citizen's right to possess and use weapons for self defense, hunting, and recreation.
